Born in 1888 to printer Alexander and Annie Angel Wildey Alexander Edward Wildey followed his father into the printing industry, eventually taking over his printing business. He was the founder of the Christchurch Sketch Club and known as a painter and a lecturer on Art. The Press 14 April 1956, p4.
